CEQL is the peak body for Queensland’s 22 Catholic School Authorities, which own and operate all Catholic schools in the state.
If you have a complaint about a Catholic school you should first contact the principal.
If your complaint remains unresolved after discussion with the principal, then:
- If your complaint relates to a diocesan school, you may wish to contact the Catholic Education Office responsible for the school. You can find the details here.
- If your complaint relates to a school run by religious institutes or other bodies, you may wish to contact the school’s Governing Body Chair. For information on the Governing Body visit the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board school finder, locate your school through the search box and click on Download School Details.
If you need help finding the correct contact, please email ceql-complaints@ceql.catholic.edu.au
If your complaint relates to CEQL and its operations, please provide details by emailing ceql-complaints@ceql.catholic.edu.au
You should receive an acknowledgement of your complaint within five business days.
All complaints will be managed confidentially, and information will only be shared where necessary for a fair investigation or where legally required.
Complainants will be kept informed of progress in investigating complaints and determining outcomes.
