COVID-19 restrictions

The Queensland Catholic Education Commission (QCEC) continues to support Catholic schools in managing the impacts of COVID-19 on school communities.

Catholic schools with more than 500 students are bound to comply with the directive to schools.

Individual schools will manage this based on their own circumstances, but this is likely to include a number of contingencies, such as ceasing full school assemblies and rescheduling other large events.

At this unprecedented time, all schools will need to continually assess the risks associated with this evolving situation.

In line with the mass gatherings restrictions, school fetes, concerts or other events likely to attract more than 500 people will not be able to proceed.

Catholic schools continue to work with authorities to ensure they are contributing in every way possible to limit the impacts of COVID-19.
