Mass and Installation of CEQL Board

Catholic Education Queensland Limited marked a significant milestone this week with the Mass and Installation of the inaugural CEQL Board, held at St Stephen’s Chapel in Brisbane.

Celebrated by the Archbishop of Brisbane, the Most Reverend Shane Mackinlay, the Mass brought together board members and staff to pray for wisdom and guidance as CEQL starts its role as the new peak body for Catholic education in Queensland.

The Mass followed the formal establishment of CEQL on January 1 and provided both a moment of reflection and a signal of transition, situating this new governance structure within the life of the Church and affirming its foundation in faith, mission and shared responsibility.

During the service, Chair Madeline Brennan KC and the Directors of the CEQL Board were formally commissioned, publicly committing to carry out their responsibilities in service of Catholic education.

After Mass, board members and staff enjoyed a celebratory morning tea together in the CEQL Office.
