The 2021 QCEC VET in Schools – Skills and Qualifications Forum theme is “Future Thrive” and will feature a range of presentations to get you thinking about how students can gain the edge by building their skills and qualifications through VET and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships and thrive in their future career journey.
A full day program, free for participants, presentations will address a variety of topics related to vocational education and training, skills reform, school-based apprenticeships and traineeships, innovation and the future job market, high quality balanced career advice and career education, industry engagement, current research and school showcases.
We are also inviting interested schools to provide presentations showcasing recent VET success stories. These could include innovative programs, supporting particular student cohorts (e.g. re-engaging disengaged youth through VET) or industry engagement. This is a great opportunity for schools to showcase stories of excellence and help inspire others.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty created by COVID-19, to enable us to host the Forum the event will be run online this year, negating the need for people to travel or to limit participant numbers.
A detailed program and list of speakers/presentations will be released soon.
Who should attend:
VET Teacher/Trainers, School RTO Managers, VET Managers/Heads of Department, Heads of Senior Schooling, VET Coordinators, School Leaders (Principals, Deputy Principals, Middle Leaders), Career Counsellors/Advisors, anybody interested in VET.
Once the Forum program is released each registered attendee will receive an email from QCEC attaching the program for the day and a zoom link to access the sessions.

Participants are required to register individually using their school (work) email address to receive a digital link to attend.
