Record nominations from school communities

The Spirit of Catholic Education Awards, an annual celebration of outstanding contributions to Catholic education in Queensland, has received a record-breaking 325 nominations this year from Catholic school communities.

The nominations showcase the ongoing and important work of staff, parents, carers, and volunteers throughout the state in areas such as leadership, service, initiative, and fostering positive outcomes for indigenous students. Among the nominees are 27 remarkable teams recognised for their collaborative efforts.

“We are thrilled to see such an overwhelming response from our Queensland Catholic school communities,” said Allan Blagaich, QCEC Executive Director. “The high number of nominations reflects the dedication and commitment of individuals and teams who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our students.”

All nominees will be honoured with certificates of recognition during Catholic Education Week in Term 3, with presentations taking place within their respective communities. The complete list of nominees can be found on the Catholic Education Week website.

The seven award recipients will be selected by a panel of judges in the coming weeks, with the announcement eagerly anticipated by the Catholic education community.
