All Hallows' School - Mercy Action
The Mercy Action program at All Hallows’ School is a transformative educational initiative that embodies the charism of the Sisters of Mercy and Catherine McAuley’s vision within the Catholic Church context. Through 20 voluntary action groups, the program integrates social justice advocacy, community outreach, and service learning into the curriculum, fostering students’ development of compassion, empathy, and solidarity. Supported by passionate staff, strong Mercy traditions, student leadership, and parent involvement, the program achieves high participation rates and demonstrates significant impact through students’ ongoing commitment to social justice activities and service to others. Its success is evident in the development of students’ sense of purpose, their engagement with external agencies, and the program’s seamless integration into school life, ultimately advancing Catholic education by providing a distinctive experience rooted in the Gospel while nurturing students who are committed to building a more just and compassionate world, aligned with the Mission in Practice Framework.
