Stuartholme School
Mission in Practice Project: The Teacher Mentor Gathering Prayer at Stuartholme integrates student-centred prayer within the Sacred Heart tradition.
St Laurence’s College
Mission in Practice Project: The Faith in Action initiative at St Laurence’s College, rooted in Jesus Christ’s teachings and Edmund Rice’s charism, combines faith with practical service through several programs.
Lourdes Hill College
Mission in Practice Project: Service at Lourdes Hill College, grounded in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition, integrates Catholic education with community service through its Homeless and Community Outreach initiatives, developing compassionate and wise young women leaders.
Loreto College
Mission in Practice Project: Loreto College’s Year 10 Social Justice Immersion program prepares young women through a comprehensive curriculum focusing on environmental sustainability, homelessness, vulnerable populations, refugees, and indigenous awareness.
Townsville Catholic Education
Mission in Practice Project: The Good Shepherd Way, launched in 2019 and informed by the Enhancing Catholic School Identity (ECSI) project, uses artistic representations of the shepherd and flock to deepen Catholic identity and foster community awareness and care.
Diocese of Rockhampton
Mission in Practice Project: The Diocese of Rockhampton’s Catholic Education system has implemented two notable initiatives that demonstrate the integration of faith, learning, and social responsibility.
Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns
Mission in Practice Project: The Encounter – Catholic Identity Framework, developed by the Diocese of Cairns, is a comprehensive approach to fostering Catholic identity within local communities, drawing inspiration from First Nations peoples’ wisdom and the Emmaus Story in Luke’s Gospel.
Ambrose Treacy College and Brigidine College
Mission in Practice Project: Ambrose Treacy College, in partnership with Brigidine College, has developed an innovative Year 10 program that integrates faith, education, and community engagement through support of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
All Hallows’ School
Mission in Practice Project: The Mercy Action program at All Hallows’ School is a transformative educational initiative that embodies the charism of the Sisters of Mercy and Catherine McAuley’s vision.
Mission In Practice
The Mission in Practice Project, developed in partnership with the Australian Catholic University’s La Salle Academy, highlights practical ways Catholic identity is expressed in schools across Queensland.
National Catholic Education Commission
NCEC is the peak body for Catholic education in Australia. Established through the Bishops Commission for Catholic Education, it is responsible for the national coordination and representation of Catholic schools and education authorities.

CEQL produces various guidelines to support Catholic School Authorities.
Archived Responses
Responses are most often produced when a request is made to provide a position as part of a consultation process. These were prepared by QCEC prior to its transition to CEQL and prior to 2020.

Reporting Timetable
There are a number of data collections that occur each year, some of them are government collections, others are to fulfil requirements that meet funding accountabilities or to provide statistical data for reporting.
Funding
CEQL has responsibility for state-wide policy making and for action in the areas of funding and research and collection of statistical, financial and educational data.
